In Light of Gender Stereotyping

I am tired of hearing about the gender-biased/biological determinism as the construction for dividing humans!!! I mean come on, only recently was it proven that people among different races have essentially the same DNA (99.9% in most cases) therefore, the idea of "race" has no place in science now but, remember that this a new concept in society. With more research-the truth will make itself known. In the meantime, I don't want to hear about your biased p.o.v. If one isn't here to make progress then get the hell out of the way.

To Be A Humanitarian, You Must Be Reminded Of Being Human First

Teaching is a beautiful thing. Really. It is. To know that you are touching someone else's life can only be felt when they have touched yours. How can we measure ourselves as humanitarians if we do not understand the necessity of what it means to be a human first and foremost. To measure yourself based on your work is ludacris but to measure your worth based on being a human, well, this is a good start. When I began teaching, I believed it would be a job that would only be fun if the right subject was at hand. What I learned myself is that the subject that is most important is the person whom you are teaching. It isn't the material but the people who need the material. My students are my friends. And friends help each other. I felt I learned as much as I taught my students and I will be forever in debt to them as they are humans who touched my life. I can only hope that I did the same for them.
